Cayo Coco






Cayo Coco is an island in central Cuba, known for its all-inclusive resorts. It lies within the Ciego de Avila Province and is part of a chain of islands called Jardines del Rey (“the King’s Gardens”). The island has its own international airport, the Jardines del Rey Airport. It covers 370 km².

Still largely wild with swamps and scrub-land populated by wild cattle, the islands boast about a dozen large international hotels spread out. Cayo Coco has white sand beaches and the massive coral reef off the north coast attract divers from around the world.

During the winter months, the average temperature is cooler, but the water temperature doesn’t fall below 25 C. Great temperatures combined with a much drier winter season makes Cayo Coco a great choice for winter sun destination travel.


Although this destination may not be suitable for everyone, those who appreciate outstanding beaches, great value, and serenity will consider Cayo Coco to be a little paradise. There are no malls for shopping, no restaurants, no nightclubs, and no casinos except for the facilities found within the resorts.


In addition to the good scuba and snorkeling opportunities, Cayo Coco vacation resorts offer all the typical water sports activities that beach-lovers have come to expect – all water sports are resort-based.

The Beaches. Enjoy the crystal clear and calm shallow water of the Caribbean and walk on fine white sand. It’s about sunbathing, reading a book or having a nap!

Ocean Splash Extravaganza. Interact with dolphins and visit one of the most beautiful beaches, Pilar Beach, where you can relax and sunbathe. Then, travel through the luxurious mangrove jungle up to the hideaway Cayo Mortero where a delicious seafood lunch is included. Next, snorkel to discover spectacular tropical marine life.


Cayo Coco Boat Adventure


Speed Boat. You’ve never driven a speed boat in your life? This is the place to do it. Only two people per boat allows each person the opportunity to experience the command of a speed boat.



Seafari (Catamaran). Discover the coral reefs in the area of Cayo Coco. This is usually a two-stop snorkeling excursion with a meal in between.


Glass Bottom Excursion. See the beautiful coral reefs in a glass-bottom boat. You don’t have to get wet unless you love snorkeling. If you have your equipment, bring it.
